At the top of most homeowners’ lists is a great space to lounge and (sometimes) watch TV. These can be great chat areas around a firepit or just casual seating around a cocktail table to hang out. Snuggling up to a cozy fireplace on a winter eve is another favorite pastime. Most manufacturers are making plush seating that is as comfortable and stylish as indoor furniture, so the options are vast to nail your desired style.
Outdoor dining is a close second and can be formal or ultra-casual, depending on your vibe. Tables come in all different materials from teak to stone or new amazingly finished aluminum frames that emulate wood. Talk about weatherproof! Sunbrella or Inside Out fabrics make durability on seating easy and offer lots of fun colors and patterns to create a unique look. Consider using one of the new outdoor leathers that stand up great when met with wet swimsuits or messy eaters!
In Dallas, designing and then swimming in your own private pool is a wonderful luxury, and enjoying a cool drink or snack poolside while sunning is the pinnacle of pampering! Whether it be with Ledge Loungers in the water to keep you semi-cool (laughable this time of year) or on dry ground in a cushioned chaise, it’s easy to make relaxing a reality. One of our favorite ways to enhance exposed/uncovered chaise lounges is by using our padded sling fabric. It easily drains and dries after one of our sneaky Texas rainstorms creeps into an otherwise sunny day.
Another popular request is a fully stocked outdoor kitchen, complete with a grill, Green Egg, Blackstone and/or some gas burners. Additionally, a sink, beverage fridge, ice maker, built-in cooler, pizza oven, trash pullout and storage drawers are among the top features most of our customers choose for their dream spaces. Consider incorporating a bar top with barstools to entertain folks outside of the main dining area and accommodate more people in your gatherings.
The epitome of convenience in your outdoor living area is climate control. We can achieve this in a variety of ways… Cooling can happen via misting fans or air conditioners and heating can be attained with floor-standing or built-in ceiling heaters. Phantom screens not only shield the intense sunlight when necessary but also insulate the space in the winter or summer, in some cases allowing the doors to the home to remain open and heat or cool the space!
